So the bf bought me Hello Kitty Gummie making kit awhile ago, and my niece and I worked on it together. First we mixed the powder in the set with water and mix it, and then just squeeze the concoction into the mould:)

We had to let it chill in the fridge first then pry it out with the pink hello kitty pliers!

The final product! Thanks darling:)

I had 2 weeks off work so it was a essentially time spent reflecting, resting and meeting up with friends. Finally managed to get down to having breakfast at Epicurious at robertson quay. I found their use of traditional chinese looking rooster plates rather odd but it did add character to the place. We were seated outdoors, first next to a huge fan but we requested to move, because it did feel like a mini typhoon right there and it is kinda hard to eat with hair blowing in your face. Unfortunately, the other seat left me bitten by mosquitoes and rather warm so yeah. I guess my main grip is the ambience, with it being a hotspot for brunch, it does get rather crowded and all the wait staff seemed rather flustered. Having just had such a pleasant experience at Group Therapy, I was rather disappointed with what transpired. The food was decent, I loved the mushrooms but that was about it.

After that we headed to the nearby M studio hotel to chill while I waited for time to pass for my vocal class to start. The last time I booked a room for a sleepover it was an awesome night of girly fun and photo booth madness:) Nothing beats lazing by the pool reading the newspapers on a windy day. I really loved the week of free time and me time.

Had dinner with S as it was her birthday and apparently you get 50% off in the month of your birthday!

This was the best part of the meal. I became addicted to tuna tataki salad after spending 3 weeks in California and this is really really good! Plus it was only $7 after the birthday discount. The tuna was fresh and the salad dressing was tangy and not over too strong such that you can still taste the salad leaves. This has become a staple for me whenever I go to TCC!

The pumpkin and pear soup was good too. My mum often makes pumpkin soup from scratch hence my dislike for very fake tasting pumpkin soup ( does that even make sense?)

The beef was a huge disappointment though. I'm very much a steak person and I believe good steak hardly needs any seasoning. This one was so seasoned and drenched in so much sauce that you could barely taste the real raw flavour of the meat.Plus the croquettes were pretty salty too.

One good thing about TCC at Wisma Atria is it's really empty and right next to ion, which makes it highly accessible but you don't have to deal with a crowd and waiting for a seat. Plust it's conducive enough for conversations :)

I rarely get my nails done because it's a rather expensive and inconvenient beauty habit to form but I had to get my nails done as I was the maid of honour for my sister's wedding. I went with a simple glittery nude pink shade, and decided to try gelish gel polish.

I love gelish gel polish as it has a really nice gloss to it, and doesn't chip or peel for up to 3 weeks! It's especially good when I've so many things to do on the wedding day hence I don't have to be careful about not ruining my nails. The only problem with gelish is that you can't remove it using normal nail polish remover but have to either go to the nail palour for a soak off or you can buy the soak off liquid and do it yourself. I didn't think it was very cost efficient to buy a new bottle but going to the manicurist was rather pricey too, so I improvised. As it grew out, I used an existing silver glitter nail polish that I had, and painted the part that was not covered, giving my nails an ombre look!

So yes, the plan is to keep painting more of the normal glitter nail polish and just keep cutting my nails as usual till it all grows out and is gone. So yes, if you do have gelish nails and don't want to bother with a soak off, you can try this approach.

Lunch in the raffles place vicinity is always insanely stressful. First, wherever you go there is always a long queue. Second, getting a table is another nightmare in itself. The colleagues and I decided to head to Raffles city instead, because what makes a better lunch break than shopping and good food?

We got there at about 11.45 and to our surprise there wasn't a queue outside Nam Nam so we decided to give it ago because it's often really packed and there must be some reason why people are willing to queue for close to 30 mins to eat here.

The restaurant is done up pretty nice, the use of wood makes it feel very homely and the open concept gives you the illusion of space, though the restaurant isn't exactly very big.

We decided on the lunch set, which seemed like a really good deal. Vietnamese spring rolls, a bowl of Pho and a drink, all for just $9.90! A meal at most restaurants in the basement of Raffles city was probably about $15-$20 on average so this seemed like a steal.

The spring rolls arrived really quickly, which was great because I was famished. Unfortunately, there was too much vermicelli in it and too little prawn. I guess that made the spring roll really dry but the light hint of mint and basil salvaged it a little. I gave up on it after awhile and stopped eating it.
We picked Iced lotus tea and I throughout the meal I took small sips cos it tasted rather bitter. Turns out my friend forgot to tell us to add the sugar syrup that was suppose to go with it. It did taste much better with the syrup, so if you're going to order a cup of lotus tea, please remember to add the sugar syrup!

The highlight of the meal was the beef pho. The soup was really tasty, excellent broth but somehow it did make me rather thirsty. The beef was also cooked pretty well. The pho had quite a decent consistency too.

All in all it was a decent meal at a very appealing price. Will definitely come back and try their other offerings. It's the perfect meal on a cold rainy day
