So I finally got to go to Disneyland at the ripe old age of 21. I'm kinda glad I went at this age because I really enjoyed it and was old enough to remember what happened! I've been to Disneyland Paris when I was 15, but memories of that seem rather vague and I didn't have pictures with many characters.

We drove from Sunnyvale to Anaheim, and checked into the Sheraton before waking up early the next morning to head off to Disneyland for breakfast with minnie.

We got to meet many characters without queuing, which was the main perk of having breakfast there because the food was nothing to rave about but more of the one on one encounters with the characters.

Captain Hook and I

We got to meet minnie for a second time that day at Minnie's air show :)

Took a pic for my sister and her fiance and this was so apt as their upcoming wedding is travel themed!
One of the highlights of the day was meeting Duffy bear. Last summer I got a friend to get me a duffy and bring it back from America for me, (Well I never thought I would get to go to Disneyland then!) so meeting Duffy in person was a big big bonus for me!

And who can forget wonderful happy donald!

We managed to catch the play parade at Disney California Adventure Park and I really enjoyed it!

We even ran into Cruella!

One of the highlights of the day was.. MEETING THE PRINCESSES. I love disney princesses so much, yes even at 21 so I was thrilled to get pictures taken with them!

The beautiful Belle!

I even got their autographs :)

Ariel and I!

Towards the end of the day we caught the parade on Main Street as well.I love disney parades and think they are very well coordinated. You can't possibly go to Disneyland and be sad.

We finally made it to Cars land, which coincidentally officially opened on the day we were there and the set was amazing. Apparently queues for the rides in cars land was at least 5 hrs on opening day. Crazy!

I really enjoyed my Disney experience, especially catching the Aladdin show, Phantasmic and World of Colours. Disneyland, I'll be back soon!

2 more days till we're re-united. :) Bye America, Hello Britannia.
I finally got to visit one of the most famous streets in the word, the walk of fame! There are so many stars there, but here are a few that are particularly meaningful to me.

Words cannot express how much I adore Celine Dion, one of the first albums I actually owned was Taking Chances, given to me by I. I love her voice and how she is so emotional when she sings such that the song becomes so meaningful and you can really feel the power in the voice.

One of my favourite movies would have to be like water for elephants. It was one of the first movies i watched with A and her acting in it was fantastic. I love the colours of that film too

The muppets star! What's not to love about Kermit playing rainbow connection by the swamp? (on a side note I had just visited the site in which the song was filmed, on the Warner Brother's lot!)

The walk of fame is home to many people dressed up in character outfits, and you can pay to take a picture with them. Also there were many make shift food stalls too. Pretty interesting street.

Took a picture at the original angry bird's tile! heehee

And the legendary Michael Jackson!

This has got to be one of my favourite stars, Julie Andrews! Mary poppins, sound of music, princess diaries. She basically made my child hood and is such an inspiration!

After that we went to catch the Avengers in 3D at El Capitol Theatre.

Before the movie began, there was an organist playing many disney tunes ( it is a disney theatre).   The theatre really is quite grand and before the movie began there was a light show too! After the movie, we headed down to see Stan Lee's private collection of Avenger's memorabilia.

The set of 4 comic books are worth $1million USD.

One of the best movie experiences I've had. Definitely worth going there to catch a movie if you're in Hollywood.
After a long day at Disneyland, La we headed checked out of the Sheraton and headed to Hollywood, and on the way we stopped by California Shabu shabu for lunch. It was refreshing to have some light and healty food for a meal, (too much burgers and fries made me sick and feel gross and fat)

It was a short drive from the Lunch place but it was a chore trying to find a place to park near the pier, but 30 mins later, we succeeded!

It really is quite a nice relaxing place, great sea view and a funfair to keep one entertained!

This was the first game we attempted, toss the rings on the bottle, we bought a bucket worth of rings but we didn't get any on the bottle. Everyone else trying didn't seem to win anything too. Ah well.
We decided to give the car racing game a goal, which entailed rolling the ball into the hole to determine the speed of the car, and alas, we got 2nd place, not a win too :( Back home, we don't have funfairs like this, so it was fun to play old school games! Though we didn't go home with any prizes.

Besides the funfair, the beach was packed with throngs of people. It was a nice windy day though!

We only had an hr to spend here, before we had to drive off the Burbank for the Warner Brother's tour. I'll miss you Santa Monica.
I'm finally here in California, am staying with my future brother in law ( yes my older sister is getting married in december!). I got here on Saturday after a rather long and uncomfortable flight on US Airways,  and right after I arrived we headed off the LFYE at Palo Alto for dinner.

According to my future BIL, healthy food is very big here in California and everything on the menu was really healthy and yummy too! I had the BBQ chicken flatbread, which was kinda like a healthy pizza and it tasted really good too. A tad too spicy though. Definitely worth a repeat visit too.

FInally got home after 26 hrs of not sleeping, took a shower and hoped to crash for the night, but thanks jetlag, I got to bed at 1am and woke up at 6 am.... And we had a full day ahead in San Francisco. More about that once I get the photos uploaded. But yeah I've basically been rather drained out from constant stream of post exam activities and haven't had any down time recently so I really wanna find some time to just eat pray love. LA on thurs. Hopefully I'll be more consistent with this blogging thing. Ta.
